Cup No.1 - 9 to 14 July 2012 in Frederikshavn

The name is new, however the tournament has been held in Frederikshavn since 1984 in the name of Dana Cup No. 1. Among other things we change the name to emphasise that we have new and big plans with the tournament,
which will already in 2012 include more exciting novelties:

• New and more groups - 9 to 19 years (both girls and boys)
• Beach Soccer - for the oldest years at the Palm Beach in Frederikshavn
• Penalty wipe-out – to be held in all groups
• All Star international matches - two selected years

In Cup No.1 all matches will be played on fine grass football fields in Frederikshavn. The participants will be able to walk around town between fields, accommodation and feeding. This gives you as a team/club lots of time together and you will very much sense the international atmosphere.

Since 1984 almost 7,000 teams from 92 nations have visited the tournament in Frederikshavn, which is situated in the heart of Scandinavia. The ferry sails direct to the city from Oslo and Gothenburg.

Normally about 250 teams from 20 nations have entered the tournament. In 2011 among others teams from Brazil, Kenya, India, El Salvador, Honduras, Peru, the USA, Russia, Zambia and Portugal participated.
